Watercolor Paint- Tips for beginners



Watercolor paint is the glorious form of art. It becomes very popular from past few decades. Painting with watercolors is very simple process that is the main reason of its popularity. Learn watercolor painting is very simple by technical point of view. Here we provide some watercolor painting tips that will help you to avoid mistakes and to get better results.
Color Test: - Watercolor paint dries very fast so first of all you need to test a color on a piece of the paper before using it. By this test you can check its tone and shade.
 Shade of watercolor Paint: -A color with watercolor looks stronger and darker when it is wet and looks lighter when dry. If your paintings look dull then you can make the color more intense by using less water or by painting another layer of color over the first.
 Transparency: - Watercolor paint is transparent. You can easily see through the layers of color. You cannot hide it so work with it.
 Watercolor remains Soluble: -Watercolor remains soluble even once it has dried. You can re-wet the dried paint with water. It means you can lighten the color by removing of it. So don’t scrub the paper too much it will damage the surface.

 Watercolor Paint Brush: - Brush is the most important part of watercolor painting. A good brush can hold on to its shape and holds a good quantity of paint. A collection of good quality brushes rather than a single expensive brush will save you a lot of frustration and you can get better results.

Watercolor Paper: -Paper is another important part of watercolor painting. It covers a lot of variations like thickness of paper, smoothness of its surface and its white color. While selecting a paper for watercolor painting always check its thickness and smoothness of surface.  

Light to Dark: - Always start with the lighter colors because white color comes from the white of the paper. But don’t afraid to experiment with dark colors early on in a watercolor painting.

Frisket Mistakes: - Frisket is very useful for blocking off remaining areas. Remember it will come off the paper and destroy the surface of the paper. So be careful and do check first how it will come off the paper and soak into soft paper.
